The otherless touristy Mayan sites should be visited in a village bus,car or walking (ancient Mayan sites like El Mirador and RioAzul).
Remember, that depending on yournationality, you may or may not require a tourist visa for entry to anyor all of the countries of the Mayan Route.
Ifyou are from Central America, one does not need a visa toenter Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. The provisions of Belize mayrequire a visa, while Central Americans will always need a visa toenter Mexico.
